Hiya! I’m Emory.

I am a Venezuelan-American visual artist who lives and works in the Orlando area. Having grown up in this environment, my earlier years were punctuated with visits to local themed attractions and museums, which inspired me to endlessly draw far-off lands and eccentric creatures.

I am self-taught and have learned so much along the way, thanks to the power of various mentors and peers, as well as my unrelenting passion to know more. As a result, my skills and talents are expansive, combining personal interest with professional applications.

As a scenic artist, I’ve worked closely with Disney Imagineering and Universal Creative on props, sets, and murals that can be found in numerous thematic lands and rides such as Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, Pandora - The World of Avatar, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and more. I have also contributed to Orlando’s haunt scene for Halloween Horror Nights and Howl-O-Scream Orlando.

I entered the world of illustration and design in phases, but most earnestly in the past few years. My portfolio is ever-expanding, working most recently with Cedar Fair/Six Flags for Jungle X-Pedition at Kings Dominion and Knotts Berry Farm Hotel, as well as with various clients for commissioned work.

My work is rarely moored by a specific theme; I find myself constantly inspired both by the work of fellow artists and the best artist of all: mother nature. I also think that in both my personal work and collaborative work, my love for entropy and whimsy amidst order comes through. In everything I do, there is a fantastical twist, always surreal and inspired, and almost always containing some hue or shade of blue.
